HÍSW̱ḴE HÁLE

We appreciate your interest in volunteering with PEPÁḴEṈ HÁUTW̱ at our SṈIDȻEȽ Resiliency Project.

The SṈIDȻEȽ Resiliency Project is always happy to host groups and classes to restore and learn about this special place's cultural and ecological connections. Students can spend the day learning from W̱SÁNEĆ knowledge keepers while participating in the community effort to heal the lands surrounding the inlet.

Engagement Protocols for visiting PEPÁḴEṈ HÁUTW̱ School location.

PEPÁḴEṈ HÁUTW̱ school program is located on the grounds of the W̱SÁNEĆ tribal school. Outside visitors are not allowed on school grounds without permission. Don't hesitate to contact us if you want to learn more about our exciting program at this school.

Frequently Asked Questions by Volunteers

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our team has experience in horticulture. On any given day, you could pull out invasive species, move brush, or plant seeds. Come with an open mind to learn and get your hands dirty.

Good question! Please bring a lunch bag, water and any snacks you need for the day. We stop for lunch and laughs between 12 - 1 pm. Bring a good pair of boots, garden clothes and gloves for working. We have gardening equipment to get you started.

Every day varies on the needs of the land. Our current goal for spring is to remove the invasive species to let the natural plants resurge in the SṈIDȻEȽ area.
